Middleton Place House Museum

Special Exhibit June 1, 2023 – July 31, 2023

The new temporary exhibit exploring independence at Middleton Place tells the story of the men and women whose thoughts and actions helped to only not shape the American Revolution, but who laid the foundation for American independence and freedom. Learn about the role that Henry and Arthur Middleton played in the Continental Congress, and the 15 people who escaped their enslavement and joined the British as Black Loyalists in return for their freedom.  The exhibit is included with House Museum admission.  Free for Middleton Place Foundation Members.
