Middleton Place is open on Thanksgiving with no daily tours. The Middleton Place Restaurant and the Edmondston-Alston House will be closed on Thanksgiving.
Middleton Place is open 9-5 daily (Closed on Christmas Day and noon on Christmas Eve).
General Admission includes access to 65 acres of formal landscaped Gardens, exhibits, displays, artisans, and historic animal breeds in the Stableyards and guided daily outdoor tours.

We recommend walking shoes and comfortable clothing. Middleton Place is primarily an outdoor experience, so prepare for various weather conditions. While rarely needed, visitors to any outdoor venue in the Low Country are also well-advised to carry insect repellent.
Middleton Place is approximately 25 minutes from the Charleston airport and 30 minutes from Downtown Charleston, depending on traffic, and is accessible by car, ride share or private companies. If using rideshare in the afternoon, please schedule your pick up one hour before your departure.
Middleton Place has a full-service restaurant open 11:00 am-3:00 pm for lunch for visitors. General admission to Middleton Place or a Middleton Place Foundation membership is required to have lunch in the restaurant. The restaurant is open to the public for dinner from 5:00 pm-8:30 pm on select evenings and General admission is not required for dinner. Reservations can be made at RESY. See menus here.
Sandwiches and snacks are available for purchase in the Middleton Place Garden Market.
Picnics are allowed on the Greensward at Middleton Place with paid general admission. Some picnic tables are available for use. Food and drinks, other than water, are not allowed in the Gardens or Stableyards.
Middleton Place offers handicapped parking and restrooms adjacent to visitor parking. There is a wheelchair-accessible route through the property, which is outlined on an accessibility map that can be obtained at the Visitor Center. Please be aware that garden paths on the historic property are uneven, as they are made of dirt and gravel. Additionally, there are areas with paths made of sand that may be difficult for wheelchairs, motorized scooters, and walkers. However, walking on grassy areas is permitted and may be useful for individuals facing difficulty with steps. Please note that due to the historic nature of the House Museum, entry involves steps and is not accessible for wheelchairs or scooters.

Due to free-roaming livestock and natural predators, pets are not allowed at Middleton Place. Highly trained service animals are permitted throughout the property; however, we can only accommodate emotional support animals and pets in the main visitor parking lot. Please do not leave your pet in your parked vehicle if weather conditions will result in dangerously high interior temperatures.
Parking is free at Middleton Place for both daily and special event visitors. Spaces for buses and oversized vehicles are available behind the Garden Market and Nursery. Handicapped parking is available near the Visitor Center in the regular visitor parking lot (valid tag required). Please remember to lock your vehicle. Middleton Place is not responsible for damage or loss incurred in the visitor parking area. Parking overnight is prohibited.
Middleton Place encourages photography (except in the House Museum), as well as drawings and paintings for personal enjoyment. However, commercial reproductions are prohibited without prior permission. There is a fee for commercial photography and contracts and payments are due at least one week before a photoshoot. Middleton Place is a natural habitat for alligators, snakes and other wildlife. Please keep a safe distance. Please do not attempt to approach, pet or feed the cows, sheep and other Stableyard animals or wildlife. Fishing is not permitted.
The use of tobacco of any kind or electronic cigarettes is prohibited at Middleton Place except in close proximity to your parked vehicle.
