This exhibit will focus on the women – both free and enslaved – associated with Middleton Place during the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries. Specifically, this exhibit will not only focus on their individual lives, but also on their roles as wives, mothers, daughters, enslavers, and enslaved people.
