The Evolving Landscape: Middleton Place Through the Years Exhibit: May – June

May 4 @ 9:00 am
June 30 @ 5:00 pm

It has been said that nothing stays the same. . .nothing remains static. That is very true when looking at the landscape of Middleton Place. The Gardens, the House, the Grounds – even the way these areas are used – are not exactly the same as they were 200 years ago, let alone 50 years ago. Some of these changes are on purpose (i.e. man-made) or by chance (i.e. weather). Regardless, they all affect how this place is used and viewed. This exhibit will track these changes through the use of photographs, documents, and other items related to the changing façade of Middleton Place. In addition, the secondary exhibits will focus on the alterations made to the South Flanker when it became a residence.
