Join us in the Stableyards for a sheep shearing demonstration using traditional steel blade hand shears.
Visitors can also spend time with Charleston visual artist Kim Keelor for a wool felting program in the Outdoor Education Center.
There will also be an indigo dyeing demonstration
Lambing season has ended and you can meet the new members of the flock. The sheep and other livestock in the Stableyards are documented to have been present at Middleton Place in the 18th and 19th centuries, and today they serve as an integral part of the National Historic Landmark’s educational programming.
