Welcome to Middleton Place, a National Historic Landmark and an enduring, vibrant, and essential part of the Charleston and American experience. Nestled along the Ashley River, Middleton Place’s 110 acres include 65 acres of America’s oldest landscaped gardens, a Museum, Plantation Stableyards, Restaurant, Inn and Farm.
Admission is included for guests of The Inn at Middleton Place.

The Restaurant is open for lunch daily from 11:00 - 3:00pm for visitors to Middleton Place. Reservations are not required for lunch. The Restaurant is open for dinner 6-9pm Tuesday-Sunday. Reservations are required for dinner.
Credit/Debit Cards/Cash accepted across the property. Members can have contactless entry by showing ID/Membership Card. Online tickets are not dated and do not expire. All sales are final.
General Admission currently includes access to 65 acres of formal landscaped Gardens, a look at 18th and 19th century plantation life with exhibits, displays, artisans and historic animal breeds in the Stableyards. Tickets for self-guided tours of the House Museum can be purchased upon arrival at the Visitors Center. The House Museum is open 10:00am - 4:00pm Tuesday - Sunday and Monday 12:00pm - 4:00pm.

The “Beyond the Fields: Enslavement at Middleton Place” program facilitates a conversation about slavery in American history with stories of brutality, survival, contribution, and perseverance. History once lost is found and brought to life in a relevant way that connects us as Americans.
Meet the Historic Livestock Breeds Tours1:30pm Daily.

A guided tour takes a closer look at the historic livestock breeds at Middleton Place. Learn why the breeds were originally brought here in the 18th and 19th centuries, how each breed contributed to the plantation, and stories about the people who owned and cared for them.

Pets and emotional support animals are not allowed at Middleton Place. Properly trained service animals are permitted, but due to free roaming livestock and natural predators, they may not be allowed in some areas. To view the full ADA policy, please visit the ADA website.
