This popular annual event showcases the many different skills that were practiced by both the enslaved and free people throughout the Low Country’s long rich history. Interpreters and volunteers will demonstrate skills including carpentry, blacksmithing, pottery, laundry, cooking, and cane pressing, indigo dyeing, and candle making. In addition, historic practices of agriculture and animal husbandry will also be presented. This special event is included in general admission and is free for members.
