Spinning the wool into yarn was done before it could be turned into sheets of fabric by weaving it on a loom or knitting the wool into commonly used items, such as socks or scarfs. Under the tutelage of a costumed interpreter, guests will be taught how to spin the wool using a drop spindle.
Program takes place at 11:15 am and 2 pm and includes a 15 minute presentation and time allotted for audience participation. This program is included with general admission to Middleton Place (free for members).
