Independence Day Weekend July 3 & 4

The 4th of July is a day of remembrance, reflection, and celebration and a wide variety of activities will be presented to mark this special day. In addition to regular educational programs, additional programs on the Declaration of Independence, life in the Continental Army, the history of the U.S. Flag, as well as refreshments, games, and crafts will be offered throughout the day. (Included in general admission, free for members)

 

SCHEDULE OF SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS

July 3rd& 4th  2021

(All programs will take place at the Outdoor Education Center) 

 

Reading of the Declaration of Independence / Followed by a Conversation on the meaning of “All Men Are Created Equal” 11AM, 1PM & 3PM

United States Flag Etiquette / Flag Retiring Ceremony |11:30AM, 1:30PM & 2:30PM

Revolutionary Soldier / Musket Firing Presentation | 12PM & 2PM

 

ON-GOING PROGRAMS (11:00AM – 3:00PM)

Revolutionary Soldier Display

Colonial Games (Rolling Hoops, Stilts, Spinning Tops, Etc.)

Crafts (Quill Pen Writing, Patriotic Necklaces, Firework Wands)

Refreshments (Lemonade, Water)
