Fall Harvest Days

The Fall Harvest Days at Middleton Place invites guests to view the various types of work that was done on a Low Country plantation in preparation for the coming winter.

Historic interpreters explore different aspects of 18th and 19th century life including cooking, baking, sugar cane pressing / cooking, hide tanning, cider distilling, and more. “Hands-On” activities including candle dipping, pottery making, dyeing, and and other such activities will be available to visitors of all ages throughout the weekend. A Gullah interpreter will be on-hand to tell stories that will illuminate the unique Gullah culture and the Colonial Ladies Society will present “Her-Story” with demonstrations of fabric dyeing, spinning, weaving, and food preservation among other skills.

Programming is included with General Admission to Middleton Place and is free for Foundation Members.
