Easter Eggstravaganza, a Charleston Tradition, is back!

For the young and young at heart, there may be no better time to visit Middleton Place than this Saturday, April 16th beginning at 10:00am. In what has become a family tradition for so many, Eggstravaganza will return to Middleton Place after a two-year hiatus.

Bring a basket for the egg hunts which will take place in the Gardens. Once found, the hard-boiled eggs can be taken to the Stableyards to be dyed. Additionally,  participate in an egg race, hear classic stories, make Easter crafts, and more.

Egg Hunt Schedule

11:00 AM                  Hunt for Pink Group (ages 2-4) begins

Location: Crane Pool

11:10 AM                   Hunt for Blue Group (ages 5-7) begins

Location: Amphitheatre

11:20 AM                  Hunt for Yellow Group (ages 8-10+) begins

Location: area by Mount Garden with entrance by the Middleton Oak

Prizes: Ceramic prize eggs, hand-made by the Middleton Place Resident Potter, will be hidden among the undyed natural eggs. Each child may present ONE prize egg at the Prize Table to receive a prize. One Grand Prize egg will be hidden in each egg hunt. Children who find Grand Prize eggs will enter a drawing to win an annual Family Membership to Middleton Place.

Cost: Easter Eggstravaganza is included with General Admission/free for Members; however reservations are required. Please sign up below.

Other Information: Please arrive early for check-in and orientation. The first hunt begins promptly at 11 am. Guests are encouraged to stay after the Easter activities and enjoy the Gardens and Plantation Stableyards with the family. Easter Brunch will be served in the Pavilion at Middleton Place from 11am – 4pm.
