Arthur Middleton was born at Middleton Place on June 26, 1742, the first-born child of Henry and Mary Williams Middleton. This temporary exhibit takes a closer look at the public and private life of Arthur Middleton, who became one of the fifty-six signers of the Declaration of Independence. The exhibits also explores facets of the Declaration of Independence.
