Middleton Place National Historic Landmark is CLOSED until further notice.

After much consideration, and new directives from local and city officials urging residents to stay home if at all possible, Middleton Place National Historic Landmark closed to the public at 3 pm on March 23, 2020, and will remain closed until further notice.

Middleton Place will continue to monitor events related to the coronavirus outbreak and will continue to provide updates as the situation continues. Please check back to this page often for updates.

What’s next?

While Middleton Place is closed, most employees are being asked to stay home, however, the historic Gardens and Stableyards’ livestock will continue receiving care during this time.

The Foundation has launched a digital content portal with programming “Plugged In To History” on weekdays during the closure. These, and additional programming to be added soon, may be accessed at the Events Page here >>
